John Wick: Chapter 2
The camera sweeps over the snow-covered streets of New York, ending on a close-up of a battered Mustang. Inside, John Wick, haunted by memories of his late wife Helen Wick, prepares for a reckoning. Abram Tarasov’s men have returned, seeking to reclaim what was stolen. But this is only a prelude. A ghost from John’s past resurfaces in the form of Santino D’Antonio, an Italian mobster who calls in an old marker, a blood oath Wick cannot refuse. Drawn back into the underworld he desperately tried to leave, John seeks counsel from Winston, the enigmatic owner of the Continental Hotel, a haven for assassins. He learns that breaking the oath will mean a death sentence, but fulfilling it drags him to Rome, where he faces off against a relentless killer named Cassian and a silent but deadly enforcer, Ares. The rules have changed and the price for freedom has never been higher.

Storyline
Forced out of his hard-earned retirement by a blood oath, John Wick, portrayed by Keanu Reeves, finds himself entangled in the treacherous web of international assassins once more. This time, he’s obligated to assist Santino D’Antonio, a former associate with ambitions to seize control of a shadowy assassins’ guild. Wick’s refusal is met with devastating consequences as D’Antonio destroys his newly reclaimed home, leaving him with no choice but to honor the oath. Reluctantly, Wick travels to Rome, a city steeped in ancient history and deadly secrets, where he is contracted to eliminate Santino’s own sister, Gianna D’Antonio, a task that violates Wick’s moral code but is dictated by the unbreakable rules of the underworld. As Wick navigates the opulent yet perilous Roman underworld, he encounters Cassian, Gianna’s loyal bodyguard, sparking a fierce and personal rivalry fueled by honor and duty. Amidst the chaos, Winston, the enigmatic owner of the Continental Hotel, a neutral ground for assassins, provides Wick with sanctuary and guidance, reminding him of the delicate balance within this clandestine society. Betrayed by Santino after completing the contract, Wick finds himself hunted by the entire guild, with a massive bounty placed on his head. The ensuing battle is a relentless ballet of bullets and blades, pushing Wick to his limits as he fights to survive and exact revenge on Santino, ultimately breaking the sacred rules of the Continental and setting the stage for a war against the High Table.
